Trainers

Only Training Sponsor Organizations (TSO) may use online registration. Make sure your organization has a Stripe account and is designated as a TSO. We recommend visiting the Training Sponsor Organization resource page for more information about getting your organization set up as a TSO, offering training through MiRegistry, and enabling and using online registration.

Here is a short overview of how to enable online registration:

1. Access your organization and be sure to enter the training event from the organization training entry page.
2. Enable online registration as you enter your event by choosing Yes to the Registration Required field and clicking Online Registration.
3. Set up your online registration preferences on your event details page by selecting Manage Online Registration in the Manage Event drop-down menu.

Trainers can create training by submitting a course for approval and then scheduling it as an event. Here is a short overview of where you can enter courses and events:

1. Log in to your MiRegistry account. Be sure to toggle to your Organization Profile if you are entering a course or event for a Training Sponsor Organization.
2. Hover over the black sidebar and click Training Entry.
3. Enter a course or create an event from a course in the Course tab. You can duplicate an event by clicking on the Events tab.

Once all event attendees have been verified and no further changes to the roster are needed, you can select Complete Event in the Event Settings drop-down on the Event Details page to mark your event as complete. This should be done only when all roster changes are complete.

To become a MiRegistry approved trainer:

1. Log in to MiRegistry or create an account if you do not have one. Click the box next to Become a trainer and click the Apply/Renew button. Follow the prompts to submit your trainer application.
2. Send in supporting documentation for any items not already verified in your profile. This may include:
   • Official transcripts or a CDA for any items not verified in your Education tab.
   • A professional resume for any employment history in the early childhood field not listed in your Employment tab.
   • A list of trainings you’ve presented to adults in the last 5 years to include dates, length, topics and target audience.

If you did not select Include my name in trainer lists in your trainer application, your name will not return results when people search for it in the Trainer Directory on the MiRegistry Statewide Training Calendar.

To have your name listed on the Trainer Directory, please:

1. Log in to MiRegistry.
2. Go to your Trainer tab.
3. Click Edit Information.
4. Check the box next to Include my name in trainer lists.
