Trainers

To become a MiRegistry Approved Trainer:

Log in to MiRegistry or create an account if you do not have one. If you have never submitted a Membership application, please follow the steps outline in the Becoming a Member Guide. If you have submitted a membership application, click on the Manage Memberships button and follow the prompts outlined in the How to Become a Trainer guide. Initial trainer applications are scored based on:

• Formal Education such as a higher education degree, CDA, MI-YADA, Teacher Certification, Montessori Credential, Mi-AIMH Credential and higher education courses/training hours.
• Years of field experience in a child-related field, up to 8 years.
• Hours of training experience provided to adults in the last 3 years such as professional development trainings, mentoring/coaching, and higher education instruction.

Only Training Sponsor Organizations (TSO) have the ability to utilize online registration through MiRegistry. Please take a look at our Training Sponsor Organization (TSO) Toolkit for steps on how to submit a training sponsor organization agreement, create and connect a Stripe account, and how to set up online registration in your event.

MiRegistry Approved Trainers and Training Sponsor Organizations (TSO’s) can access their training entry page to create courses and events by:

1. Logging in to your MiRegistry account. Be sure to toggle to your Organization Profile if you are entering courses and events for your TSO.
2. Hovering over the black sidebar and clicking Training Entry.
3. Following the How to Create Courses and Events Guide steps to create and submit your courses and events.

Once your course and event has been created, submitted, and approved, you can add your attendee to the roster or mark a registered attendee as verified by utilizing one of the roster management methods below:

1. If providers didn’t register before the event was held, you can manually enter attendees by adding them to the roster. If providers registered before the event was held, you can mark them as verified. Steps for both options can be found in our Managing Event Rosters Guide.
2. Additionally, trainers can upload attendance using our CSV upload option. This functionality can be used for events that utilized registration prior to the event and events that did not. Steps for the upload process can be found in our Uploading Training Event Rosters Guide.

Once the provider is listed on the roster as a verified attendee, they will receive training hours for that event. The event status does not need to be in ‘Complete’ for them to receive training hours.
