Official transcripts are important for your membership because they:

• Allow MiRegistry to verify any degree(s); capture the number of completed credits; and classify credits into early childhood, child related, and business categories.
• Verify education and degree information to support Great Start to Quality.
• Support child care licensing consultants’ verification of education and related coursework for position qualification.
• Recognize an individual’s highest level of education and related credits to support career pathway placement.

MiRegistry requires official transcripts to prevent academic fraud and maintain the integrity of MiRegistry and its members. Requiring official transcripts is also necessary to meet national standards and best practices and enable MiRegistry to participate in national studies that benefit the early childhood and afterschool workforce.

To submit official transcripts to MiRegistry, request your college or university email (preferred) an electronic version of your official transcripts to support@miregistry.org or mail them directly to MiRegistry to our mailing address. MiRegistry only accepts unopened official transcripts in their originally sealed envelope.

Learning Record
MiRegistry records all the information from traditional training certificates and lists it on your Learning Record. You can print your Learning Record by following these steps:

1. Login to your MiRegistry profile
2. Click the Reports tab
3. Click Learning Record

This record can be used to provide evidence of training completion to employers, licensing, and Great Start to Quality.

Training Certificate View Report
You can also use the Training Certificate View Report to see any MiRegistry approved training listed on your Learning Record displayed in a certificate view. Please remember this report is for your personal use only and does not need to be sent to MiRegistry. To access this report:

1. Login to your MiRegistry profile
2. Click the Reports tab
3. Click Training Certificate View Report.

You will need to contact the event contact person or the trainer to be added to the event roster. You can find the designated contact person for a particular training by looking under contact on the event details page. To get to the event details page:

1. Log into MiRegistry with your email address and password.
2. Click the Training tab on your account.
3. Click the name of the training to go to the event details page.

If you do not have contact information for either of these people, you may contact a specialist at support@miregistry.org with the name or the MiRegistry ID number of the training event you attended.

If you cannot find your employer when adding employment to your individual profile, try searching by your employer’s child care license ID number if applicable. If you are still unable to find your employer, you will need to manually add details about your employer. Here’s how you can do so:

1. Under employment, you will need to select Employer Type. Select either  Employment outside the State of Michigan or employment not related to the field of early childhood or school age care OR Other Organization Types.
2. You will be asked to fill out the basic details of your employer.

The initial health and safety training series for licensed child care providers has been updated to include four shorter courses (trainings), with the topics that are required prior to working with children all included in the new Health & Safety for Licensed Child Care Providers, Module A. The new courses are hosted in Michigan Virtual’s online professional learning portal and are being offered for FREE.
